Hello everyone, I am Menglin DAI, an MPhil student. My research focuses primarily on investigating the regulation mechanisms of cellular activity and mitochondrial function under environmental stress. I am dedicated to unraveling the activation and inhibition of cellular signaling pathways when cells confront challenges such as immune stress triggered by inflammation, physiological imbalances caused by temperature fluctuations, and hypoxic conditions due to insufficient oxygen supply. In particular, I am fascinated by the pivotal role of mitochondria, the powerhouses of cells, in these processes. I firmly believe that scientific research is not only the exploration of knowledge, but also the awe and curiosity of the unknown world. Moreover, I also know that scientific research is never done alone. In this journey full of challenges and opportunities, I am looking forward to establishing deep friendship and cooperation with other members of the laboratory, learning from each other, supporting each other, and jointly overcoming difficulties to promote the progress of the project. In my spare time, as an INFP, I like photography and enjoy walking alone in nature, feeling and recording the beauty of life.
